Wonderful work. Been ages since I've seen such a subtle wall that still oozes
out a statement. Not the most widely used themes for walls, so there's a touch
of uniqueness to it. Wished I had inspiration to do stuffs like this... =(
Ain't an easy scan to vector I'll must say. Brought out most of the (major)
details too. Except her eyes I guess. Its the portion that made the original
scan feel rather surreal. Love the pop art feel tho.
Should had flipped her horizontally. The lighting doesnt match the scan and the
background. And thats one fine background. Kinda overly grainy IMO, but gets the
effect thru ^_^
Great use of tones. Think the blur didnt do it full justice. The outlines arent
crisp enough IMO. Maybe try a water colour filter instead? (I would say
something more constructive if it werent for this headache i'm havin)
Nice try on the angle tho it came out weird. You are trying to get a top view
shot right? Better to make the body less tilted and the head at a 45 degree
angle. You may want to try working with guidelines. A lot easier to get the
proportions right.
Then again, I'm just commenting a thumbnail... So I could be wrong
Very different from your regular styles. Having 2 main objects in the wall sure
creates a pleasent effect on the eyes. As your attention gets divided into
different areas of the picture. Something like blending into the background
wall, except less subtle.
Love how you add the different textures to the entire pic and how you didnt
over-use blue and orange for a bright wall. Wonder how many layers did you use.
Looks like a nasty amount with all the transperencies going on.
A little heavy on the right side IMO and a tad large on the filesize, but
nothing really noticably wrong with it. *favs*
I thought it was an entire scan when I looked at the thumbnail. Pretty surpised
that it was a wallpaper instead. Superbly done bg, makes it look like its part
of the art. Only pet preeve would be the scan quality itself.
Pretty rare to see bgs made by painter around here. A refreshing change from ps
brushes
Curious, what blur technique did you used? Nicely drawn rubble, tho the roof
could miss out on the blurring too. Gives it a weird perpective if you did.
The scraf idea looks better than I thought. The new added circles gave it enough
botches for a mess to balance out that side of the pic. I did comment once I
liked it, still do
Think you overdid on the grunge part. Makes it look kinda messy. The use of
limited colours made it look better overall. Pretty nice if the yellow patches
near the top dont bug me so much ^^;
I'm trying to put in words what I think of your wall. Kinda a strange feel to it
that you cant describe... After some time staring at the colours, one phrase
came to me. "Ying and yang". Think tt has both those elements rolled
in that.
The botches weird me out and I find it pretty all at the same time. Definately
ying yang (meant that in the nicest way you could think of :P).
A fox spirit with cyan fur? Thats something new I dont see everyday... The scan
is adorable, great choice. You even added a shoujo manga feel to it with the
dots (or is that snow? sorry then). I like the view too. The text is a little
too high. Its above the taskbar if you set it as wallpaper. Maybe try a more
squarish font for it so its easier to resize.
The kabuki style to it fits the already warm colours of the scan. Think the
outlining is a little too much. Makes it look kinda like a kid's drawing ^^;.
Overall, very sweet.

Peace out.

Props!
Even tho I wouldnt dare setting it as my wall, I would say its commendable for you to touch (in what I would call) a taboo genre =P
Anyway, love the clean free and hues.
Crisp, clean vector of a great scan. Would make a great wallie with a near full view of each character.
Make me wish I have a laptop with PS right now ._.

Still, mad props on the piece!

Yup, this is a fanart of yamibou. Seen it on yamibou fansites couple of months back.
Thats so adorable that I smiled. Really love your drawings. Has a certain appeal to it. No idea what, but its there...
*goes off colouring the sketch he promised
*
Aww.. I wish I had one of those too! Great colouring too. Makes it looks kinda like traditional media.
Love the tiles ^_^. Tho the metal rims looks too... raised. Someone could trip over on them you know. French maid uniform for the win =P
Ahh... the photo concept never gets old. You even re-invented it on MT using a jigsaw form for it. Great idea

Aww... thats so adorable. I wonder what Kira ate during his missions to get that large :P

I like the overall idea of the wall, but a little too much texturing for my taste. Kinda makes it slighly messy.
